Engineering Judgment
Our goal is to share resources and results from our engineering judgment grant with the education and professional engineering community
Our Research
The first step of this exploratory research has been the development of a preliminary, consensus-driven definition for engineering judgment using a panel of experts in a Delphi study. This was followed by the development of pilot educational materials for classroom use and assessment. These educational resources are undergoing continual refinement but can be accessed from this website. Publications related to our findings have also been initiated and are highlighted on this site also.
This study has the capability to significantly impact the engineering field, engineering curriculums, students, educators, ABET accreditation, and industry stakeholders, ultimately strengthening society through well-engineered products, systems, and services.
